MEMPHIS-July 25, 2000-Farms.com Ltd., the leading North American provider of business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce solutions for the agriculture industry, today announced that the company has integrated wireless services into its technology platform.

"Farmers are now able to access farm management information or make time sensitive transactions using a hand held device in the middle of a field, in their trucks, or anywhere," said Robert Sparks, CEO of Farms.com. The move makes Farms.com the first agriculture site to have livestock and grain futures quotes, cash grain bids and industry specific news available from wireless devises such as Palm Pilot VII ®. Even a basic digital cellular phone can be used to receive futures closing prices, and the service will be expanded to serve additional electronic appliances and functionality. Access to the service may be limited to producers located near major metropolitan areas, however, the company expects that these or future technological advances will be available to most regions within 12-24 months. The wireless service is free and appeals to the mobility requirements of today's producers who can't afford to be bound to desktop computers for the latest market information.
