Premiere Land Portal TheEquator.com Form Alliance to Expand Global Reach With Premiere Ag Site Farms.com

San Francisco, CA - November 9, 2000.

TheEquator.com, largest independent land sales portal on the 'net, announced a critical alliance agreement with Farms.com, a leading provider of e-business solutions for the agricultural industry, at the National Association of Realtors, meeting here this week. The companies also said they would host the first live independent farms auction on the Internet before year's end.

The agreement expands the audience for TheEquator's $1.7 billion of property listings, from over 50 countries worldwide. TheEquator's listings comprise more than 6.7 million acres of property.

"This opportunity helps us capture a significant agricultural audience. Farms.com has paid us a tremendous compliment, validating our vision to provide ever increasing amounts of information to the public, and create liquidity for landowners around the world who are thinking of selling or buying," said Steven M. Saltman, CEO of TheEquator.com, at the Realtors Land Institute Conference. RLI is an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.

Robert Sparks, CEO of Farms.com welcomes the alliance agreement. "We are looking forward to working with TheEquator.com to provide greater value to our customers, farm managers who own and work over 900 million acres of farm land in the US alone."

Also planned for later this year is the first live Internet auction of agricultural land by independent sites. The properties to be auctioned will be announced within the next 30 days.  The live auction is especially significant because it represents a step forward for agricultural landowners seeking a global audience for their properties.

The alliance agreement gives TheEquator a powerful presence on Farms' front screen. Farms will be able to offer TheEquator?s services to its global base of ag industry professionals. Saltman said he expects the agreement with Farms to triple TheEquator's listings valuation over the next several months.
