Farms.com Ltd. acquires 1stAg, Inc. Grain Industry Software Business.
Ames, Iowa - Farms.com Ltd., a leading information and marketing company that provides innovative solutions to the global Agriculture and Food industry announced that it has acquired the business of 1stAg, Inc., of Atlanta, GA, a leading provider of ecommerce software for the agriculture industry.
1stAg has been in operation since 1997 and helps agriculture companies improve their business with software and systems that allow them to manage their information more efficiently. The company boasts an impressive list of clients in the North American grain and processing industry. The flagship products of 1stAg include eCustomer, which is a web enablement application that securely allows a company’s customer to view their account online – much the same way that a bank allows you to check your account online. The other major product is AgIntegrator, which is an e-business integration software application that reduces the costs and improves the efficiency of an agribusiness’ buying and selling activities with it’s trading partners.
