Kuhn North America, Inc., of Brodhead, Wisconsin, introduces the new EL 23 power tiller line. The EL 23 models are specifically designed and priced for use with compact tractors up to 25 PTO horsepower. These sleek, eye-catching machines are available in working widths of 49" and 57".
The top deck and hood of the EL 23 are made from high-strength steel plates, making it highly resistant to stone impact and providing durability and strength. The frame-mounted gearbox is set to the rear, minimizing PTO angles for less vibration and a longer service life. The sliding lower hitch mounts offer easy adjustment to match tractor lift arm settings and an adjustable rear hood allows for variations in soil texture and improves soil leveling. The standard “C” blades provide good soil engagement and excellent incorporation of plant residue.
Kuhn North America is also pleased to introduce the newly-upgraded EL 43 and EL 53 power tiller lines with working widths ranging from 42" to 74" and 38" to 74" respectively. The EL 43 is designed for seedbed preparation, gardening, greenhouse operations, and ground and landscape maintenance, while the EL 53 is a heavy-duty machine designed to meet the demands of contractors, landscapers and farmers.
The EL 43 and EL 53 model lines can be used with tractors up to 40 and 50 PTO horsepower respectively, both benefiting from a 10 horsepower increase over previous models. Improvements to the EL 43 include a larger diameter rotor shaft with four longer-wearing, flange-mounted blades, and easier to adjust skid shoes. The EL 53 incorporates a down-pressure setting on the rear hood, providing firmer soil for an improved seedbed. Both lines maintain a sliding hitch frame, rear set gearbox, and heavy steel plates for the top deck and hood, all helping to provide strength and durability for optimum performance and long service life.
