A 5th generation potato farmer from Knutsford, Morgan Smallman of J & J Smallman Farms grows 500 acres of chip stock potatoes each year. In the last decade, the farm has grown from 120 to 500 acres with all of the crop destined to become potato chips. As well, Morgan has diversified his business to trucking, hauling Trout River Trailers when not working on the farm. Young farmers like Morgan ensure the future growth of the potato industry on Prince Edward Island.
