4 CANADA'S FARM SHOW 2025 Regina, SK | Presented by Viterra DARYL HARRISON, Minister of Agriculture On behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, it’s my pleasure to welcome you to the 47th annual Canada’s Farm Show. Every year, Canada’s Farm Show brings together the best and brightest in agriculture, providing a vital platform to profile Saskatchewan’s vibrant and flourishing sector to local and global audiences. It’s an important opportunity for producers, agricultural equipment manufacturers and international buyers to connect and explore the latest advancements in the industry. Canada’s Farm Show is founded on the principles of innovation, education and collaboration. These values come to life through the diverse exhibits and demonstrations on display. Like Saskatchewan producers, the Show has demonstrated its commitment to growth and innovation over the decades, evolving with the industry it serves. In 2025, you will see groundbreaking agricultural technology from the latest air seeders to drones guided by precision AI that were daydreams only a decade ago. Many groundbreaking ideas have been unveiled here over the years, and I am confident this year will be no exception. In terms of education and collaboration, the Show is partnering with important organizations such as Saskatchewan Outstanding Young Farmers and Ag in the Classroom to recognize the next generation of producers and to help educate the public on the role of agriculture in their lives. As a long-time cattle producer, I have watched this industry transform over the years and been a part of its growth. I was honoured to be appointed your Minister in November 2024 and look forward to working with you to help the industry grow in this decade and into the next. Saskatchewan’s Growth Plan for 2030 has set several ambitious targets for our sector – many of which have already been achieved. For instance, in 2023, we exceeded our $20 billion agri-food exports target, achieving a record $20.2 billion. This success is a testament to the hard work of producers and the industry as a whole. Saskatchewan agriculture is resilient. Our producers face challenges such as unpredictable weather, pests and market fluctuations, all while producing some of the most sustainable food in the world. This is made possible through the adoption of innovative technologies and researchbased production practices, many of which are showcased at Canada’s Farm Show each year. Thank you to everyone who helps make this world-class event a reality. Welcome, and best wishes for another productive and successful show. WELCOME TO CANADA’S FARM SHOW REGINA, SK SCOTT MOE, Premier of Saskatchewan On behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Canada’s Farm Show. Since 1977, Canada’s Farm Show has been instrumental in highlighting what agriculture means to our province and what Saskatchewan agriculture means to the world we feed. It is astounding that our province of 1.2 million people is the world’s largest exporter of dry peas, lentils, durum, canola oil, canary seed, mustard and oats. We are also the birthplace of dryland farming technological innovations that have revolutionized farming across the globe. Most certainly, this show provides the opportunity to celebrate our achievements and to answer the question of “what is next.” This industry is an important economic engine for our province in terms of jobs and exports. Its commitment to growth and innovation is driving the search for solutions to the challenges of tomorrow. Saskatchewan is internationally recognized as a source of high-quality, agri-food products that are safe and sustainable. The thousands of visitors attending this event will see exactly what that looks like, right here in one of the world’s most productive and competitive agricultural regions. Congratulations to the organizers, exhibitors and sponsors for once again presenting a world-class event that helps producers connect with each other, see the latest in agricultural equipment and technology, and connect with international buyers. Whether you are a producer, equipment manufacturer, supplier or buyer, I am confident you will have an enjoyable and productive experience at Canada’s Farm Show. Thank you for being part of it.
