Kokopelli

Kokopelli

In Native American history, Kokopelli was a god of agriculture, fertility and trickery. As a god of fertility, Kokopelli also presided over childbirth.

Kokpelli was depicted playing a flute, which was said to chase away the winter and bring spring. Some tribes associate Kokopelli with bringing rains, and he was sometimes shown with Paiyatamu, another flutist, during corn-grinding ceremonies.
