In this 1987 production, Lester Bacon has run into financial trouble and might have to shut down the meat processing plant he owns because he won’t modernize his operation.
Sanford, one of Bacon’s former employees and owner of the town’s new processing plant, wants to buy Bacon’s property. Sanford enlists the help of a financial adviser and eventually the town’s sheriff, who condemns the old abattoir.
With a choice between accepting the deal or losing his land to the County, Bacon chooses another path – tasking his son Buddy with killing anyone who wants to buy the property.
