It's hard to look at a tractor tire and imagine that corn had anything to do with it, but it does - in two ways at that! The plastic molds the tires sit in are made with corn, and powdered cornstarch is used to cover the molds. The cornstarch acts as a lubricant so when the tires are ready to come out of their molds, the tires don't stick to the sides.
