With the 2024 growing season in full swing and harvest not too far away, farms across the U.S. are showing off their corn maze designs for the fall agritourism season.
Here are some of the themes farm visitors can expect to see this fall.
Amazing Fall Fun in Waterloo, Ind., is celebrating an iconic cartoon.
For 2024, the farm’s 16-acre corn maze will pay homage to Peanuts and its 75-year anniversary.
The Amazing Fall Fun maze features Snoopy, Woodstock, Charlie Brown, Lucy and Linus sitting in a pumpkin patch.
Peanuts Worldwide selected more than 80 farms across the United States and Canada to grow a themed corn maze as visitors search for their “great pumpkin.”
In It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, the children celebrate Halloween while Linus waits in a pumpkin patch for the Great Pumpkin.
The story goes that the Great Pumpkin rises on Halloween with a large bag of toys for children who believe in it.
Pope Farms in Wiggins, Colo., is another of the farms celebrating Peanuts with its corn maze.
This maze features Snoopy sitting on top of a pumpkin with “Snoopy 4 Prez” carved beside him.
And the corn maze at Happy Day Farm in Manalapan, N.J., sees Snoopy laying on top of his doghouse.
Snoopy and the gang aren’t the only ones celebrated in corn mazes this year.
A farm in Massachusetts is showing off its sports fandom.
The maze at Kimball Farm in Haverhill, Mass., is dedicated to all things Boston Celtics after the team won its 18th NBA championship in 2024.
The maze is complete with the team logo Lucky the Leprechaun, a lucky horseshoe and a clover with the number 18 inside it.
“2024 is all about the championships!” the farm said on its Facebook page. “This corn runs as taller than (Kristaps Pozingis) and as green as the blood that runs through this city!”
Staying on the east, a farm in Levant, Maine is using its corn maze to celebrate a different fictional literary character.
The farmers at Treworgy Family Orchard have carved a Peter Rabbit design into the maze for 2024.
“Our Peter Rabbit theme celebrates the charm and curiosity of Beatrix Potter’s classic stories,” said farm co-owner Jonathan Kenerson, WABI reported. “We hope this new maze not only delights our visitors but also continues our tradition of creating memorable experiences for families.”
This farm is also trying to win an award for best corn maze in the U.S. for the third straight year.
Voting for the contest ends on Sept. 9.
