DEKALB and Asgrow roll out advanced seed technology

Coming in 2025, farmers can look forward to an enriched arsenal of seed options as DEKALB and Asgrow, subsidiaries of Bayer, announce the launch of 46 innovative products. These seeds are tailored to elevate agricultural output and provide advanced protection against pests.

DEKALB's introduction of 25 new products features the pioneering SmartStax PRO with RNAi Technology, a first-of-its-kind trait package designed specifically for potent corn rootworm control.

These advancements extend to the VT4PRO line, which integrates Trecepta Technology to deliver elite protection against above-ground pests, enhancing the overall health and yield of corn crops.

The focus on RNAi Technology across these products emphasizes a strategic move towards employing cutting-edge scientific advancements to solve traditional farming challenges.

Asgrow complements this release with 21 new XtendFlex soybean variants. These are engineered not only for high yield potential but also include traits that help manage resistant weeds effectively.

This comprehensive suite of soybean products is also equipped with new defensive agronomics to safeguard against key diseases, providing farmers with a robust toolkit for enhancing crop resilience and productivity.

All DEKALB seeds will come with additional features such as Acceleron Seed Applied Solutions ELITE and the novel Acceleron N-314 nematicide, offering an integrated approach to disease and pest management. This ensures that the seeds are not just high-yielding but are also well-protected throughout the growth cycle.

With these releases, DEKALB and Asgrow are set to significantly impact the farming landscape in 2025, offering high-tech solutions that support farmers in achieving greater efficiency and higher yields in their agricultural endeavors.

Air Command Section Control for Pro-Force Spreaders

Video: Air Command Section Control for Pro-Force Spreaders

This patented section control system uses air to divert material on to different areas of the spinner disks for precise 4-section control, for an economical design by eliminating the need for added conveyor belts or movable spreader components. The section control uses the Raven RCM ISOBUS controller and a customer’s field boundary and coverage map to automatically turn off any of the four sections at any time to avoid applying valuable fertilizer in areas where it’s not needed.

This results in fertilizer savings which means more money in your pocket for a maximum Return On Investment. The powerful blower fan sends air through a 4-section manifold while the conveyor automatically speeds up or slows down as sections are turned on or off for consistent and precise fertilizer application.

• The revolutionary patented Air Command section control utilizes a pneumatic system to accurately place fertilizer onto the spinner disks to give you individualized 4-section control of your spread pattern.

• Pinpoint accuracy of four individual sections allows you to operate the system with ease. This robust design with few moving parts offers no gimmicks, just real-world results.

• The new Air Command section control option is available on pull-type models 2250 and 1850 with the new PTO drive system, and on 1450, 1250 and 1050 pull-type models with standard single hydraulics.

• Continue to do it all with the Unverferth pull-type Pro-Force Spreader. Use the Air Command section control for spreading fertilizer and in-seeding applications, while converting to single-section lime or litter application in a matter of minute
