Air seeder sells for top dollar during BigIron auction

More than 1,400 ag items were sold on the second day of a two-day auction

A seven-year-old air seeder and cart was the top selling piece of farm machinery on the second day of a two-day BigIron auction.

BigIron held its end of year auction on Dec. 30 and 31, selling more than 5,000 total items over the two days.

A 2014 Horsch Panther 460 air seeder & cart received the highest bid during the auction on Dec. 31.

The item from Draper, S.D., sold for US$155,750 (CAD$197,842) to a buyer in North Dakota after 378 bids.
