Caterpillar dozer sells for highest price at auction

Of the 2,071 items sold during an Aug. 28 BigIron auction, a Caterpillar dozer received the highest price.

The 2023 D6 dozer with winch from Wilson, Kan., sold for US$445,250 (CAD$601,222) to a buyer from the same state after 209 bids.

Specs: 423 hours, CAT C9 9.3L 6-Cyl Turbo Diesel, 3-Speed Powershift Transmission, Tilt Blade 125" X 56"H Blade W/Reversible Knife (9.75" Never Reversed), Vail Blade Mounted 4 Tooth Back-up Ripper, 22" Tracks, PA56 Rear Winch W/4 Fairlead Rollers, Rear Ladder, LED Lighting Package, Approx. 60,000 Lbs. The following pieces of equipment round out the five that sold for the highest prices during the online auction.

A 2019 Volvo A45G 6x6 articulated dump truck from Eldon, Mo., sold for US$270,350 (CAD$365,051) to a buyer from Indiana after 85 bids.

A 2015 John Deere 1050K dozer with ripper from Hannibal, Mo., sold for US$241,750 (CAD$326,438) to a buyer from Illinois after 272 bids.

Specs: 3,071 hours, Hydrostatic Transmission, Enclosed Cab, Limb Risers, 3-Shank Ripper, Deluxe LED Lights, 156" U-Blade W/Rock Rack & Wear Plate, 24" Single Bar Grouser Pads.

A 2019 Case IH 8250 2WD combine from Lincoln, Neb., sold for US$237,600 (CAD$320,828) to a buyer from Kansas after 390 bids.

Of the five auction items that sold for the highest prices, this combine had the most bids placed on it.
