Registration for one of the most popular events on the U.S. farm show calendar is open.

Producers can now sign up to be part of this year’s Commodity Classic. The event was originally scheduled to take place in San Antonio, Texas, but will now run online from March 2-5.

“This year, (farmers) can enjoy the educational components of Commodity Classic right from your home office or kitchen table,” Anthony Bush, a corn producer from Ohio and co-chair of the Commodity Classic, told Farms.com in an email. “We have more than 50 great educational sessions featuring some of the top presenters in the nation—from leading agronomists to top agribusiness leaders to well-known ag personalities.”

In addition, the virtual show will feature 19 “What’s New” sessions, highlighting some of the newest technology, products and innovations available to producers.

These sessions include digital solutions for carbon sequestration, the road to autonomy and managing weeds post-emerge.

To encourage participation, Commodity Classic is offering free registration for a limited number of farmers.

“Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the first 5,000 farmers who register can do so at no cost simply by signing up online,” Brad Doyle, a soybean farmer from Arkansas and Commodity Classic co-chair, told Farms.com in an email.  “All other attendees can register for just $20—and that covers all sessions from Tuesday through Friday.  It’s a great bargain for an event that offers so much innovation, information and insight.”

The sessions will also be available online until April 30 for producers who want to revisit them.
