Prior to Canada Post workers going on strike, ag insurance providers took precautions and encouraged farmers to do the same to mitigate the effects of a labour disruption.
“We encourage farmers to visit agricorp.com and sign up for direct deposit if they are expecting a program payment. We have a quick link right on our home page,” an Agricorp spokesperson told Farms.com in an email. “Agricorp has multiple customer service channels to send and receive information, such as our call center, automated phone calls, email notifications, and online services where farmers can view their program documents.”
Canada Post workers went on strike on Nov. 15 and as of Dec. 3 remain off the job.
