Hind became the first woman in the Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame in 1978. She was an agricultural reporter, focusing on crops and stocks, and became an expert in her field. She received an honorary degree of doctor of laws from the University of Manitoba and a diploma from the Manitoba Agricultural College. The University Women’s Club granted her an honorary lifetime membership.
