This organizational plan denotes the direction the GFO will take over the next four years.

Grain Farmers of Ontario (GFO), the province’s largest commodity organization, representing Ontario’s 28,000 barley, corn, oat, soybean, and wheat farmers, has released its 2025 Strategic Plan.

This plan provides the guideposts and direction for the GFO for the next four years and showcases the importance of advocacy, knowledge transfer, market growth, and strong governance as the organization continues its work to bring its mission and vision to life.

The mission of the Grain Farmers of Ontario is to build, defend, and promote an inclusive, innovative, and sustainable business environment that enables grain farmer members the opportunity to prosper.

Its vision is: Thriving farms. Responsible production. Trusted grain farmers.

“The 2025 strategic plan was thoughtfully reviewed and created to ensure that the needs of grain farmers drive the organization, and the success of the grain farming industry is at its core,” commented Jeff Harrison, Chair of Grain Farmers of Ontario. “The Board of Directors for Grain Farmers of Ontario, in collaboration with the organization's leadership and team, believes that this plan sets a direction for the organization that will lead to the realization of our vision.”

The 2025 Strategic Plan outlines the organization's commitment to its core values: farmer members, team, community, results, innovation, and honesty and integrity.

“Agriculture and grain farming are the backbone of industry, economy, and society. Our strategic plan reflects the importance of the grain sector and the direction that will set grain farming up to be more successful than ever. Our core values are interwoven into all our work, underscoring the dedication and passion our team has for grain farming,” explained Crosby Devitt, the organization’s Chief Executive Officer.

The 2025 Strategic Plan is focused on creating a diverse, welcoming, and inclusive community, and Grain Farmers of Ontario will continue to strive to provide farmer members with the tools and resources they need to be successful.
