A pair of newlyweds from County Tyrone, Ireland finally arrived at their recent wedding reception after several (scripted) ag-related mishaps.
A produced video of livestock farmer Shane Mullan and his new wife Alana show the couple leaving the church after exchanging vows and riding in the back of a Massey Ferguson 135 tractor on route to The Radisson Blu Hotel to celebrate with guests.
At the hall. the master of ceremonies introduced the newlyweds to a standing ovation, only to approach the microphone again to announce the Mullans were missing.
“As the bridal party entered, everyone was eagerly awaiting the newlyweds,” Sinead McCullagh, a bridesmaid, told BelfastLive. “To everyone’s shock they announced there had been a problem and started to play a video on the screens.”
The video started to show everything that happened between the church and the newlyweds’ arrival at the reception hall.
Shane receives a call that one of his cows is calving and directs the driver to head back to the farm.
Upon arriving at the farm, Shane ditches his suit for a pair of overalls to help the cow deliver its calf.
After helping out at the farm, the Mullans are heading back to the hotel when their tractor breaks down.
Just when all hope seems lost, a driver arrives in a blue New Holland T7.210 tractor to bring the bride and groom to their wedding reception as Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins plays in the background.
But things get worse for the newly married couple as the operator of the New Holland receives a call that his cattle have escaped.
Just as the Mullans are about to help the farmer corral his cows, a van pulls up to usher the couple to their reception.
“There wasn’t a dry eye in the house, along with the sore sides from tears of laughter,” McCullagh told BelfastLive. “It really set the tone for what was a fantastic day topped off by an unforgettable evening.”
