An alleged thief who showed a lot of persistence is facing 14 charges after police say he stole equipment from a farm, was arrested, and then broke into the same farm again – less than 24 hours after being released from jail.

The 27-year old Wisconsin man faces two counts of felony burglary, four counts of felony bail jumping, five counts of misdemeanor bail jumping and three counts of theft of items valued at less than $2,500.

According to police, a Grant County farm was burglarized in December, with items such as chain saws, power tools and assorted farm equipment stolen.

Chain saws stolen

Christopher Easterling of Mount Hope allegedly posted one of the chain saws for sale on Facebook on Jan. 22.

Easterling was arrested, but posted bond and was released from the Grant County Jail on Jan. 26.

Then on Jan. 27 police responded to a call at the same farm, where they found Easterling hiding behind a tractor.
