Attendees of next month’s Farm Progress Show in Boone, IA. will be able to explore new product offerings from Kinze.
The company will feature some of its new tillage equipment and planter technology.
Kinze’s Mach Till products come in 20-, 26-, 33- and 40-foot models. These pieces of tillage equipment can also operate at speeds of up to 12 mph, allowing farmers to cover more acres at once.
Farmers can experience the benefits of conventional disks, vertical tillage and soil-finishing products, which can be used in several types of soils.
“We’re very excited about this piece of equipment,” Phil Jennings, service manager with Kinze, told Farms.com today. “You can say this is a universal tool for any tillage application that’s less than six inches deep.”
“I can use it in the fall where I’m going to go out and size residue, and effectively, I’m going to be covering upwards of 60 percent of that residue and incorporating it back into the soil for nutrient breakdown so I can be ready to go for the next planting season.”
The Mach-Till can also be used as a leveling device in the spring, Jennings said.
Kinze will also be showcasing three new planter technologies during the Farm Progress Show.
The technologies are all designed to provide growers with accurate, real-time information from the tractor cab.
Kinze Blue Vantage features high-definition mapping, graphs and a comprehensive diagnostics screen. It’s also user-friendly, meaning farmers can install this system easily.
Kinze Blue Drive provides detailed information on several system components. It also features curve compensation, which helps ensure even planting.
“Every row on the planter has its own unique motor. By having row-by-row control, I can calculate the inside row and outside row to maintain uniform seed spacing around field contours,” Jennings said. “When a marching band comes around a corner, they want to keep in step, and the Blue Drive operates in a similar manner.”
“We know ultimate yield potential starts with uniformity of depth control and seed spacing within that row.”
The third planter technology Kinze will showcase during the Farm Progress Show is Kinze True Depth, which allows farmers to control up and downforce to ensure proper seed depth.
All of Kinze’s new planter technologies will be available for the 2019 planting season.
