Thanks to some favourable weather conditions, producers in Saskatchewan have planted about 35 per cent of total crops.

The percentage is only one per cent higher than the same time last year; but represents a large jump from 2014, when only seven per cent of the total crop was planted at this time.

The number is also well above the five and 10-year averages, which are 10 and 12 per cent, respectively.
