Advanced Precision Ag Sprayer Upgrades Improve Efficiency and Cost Savings

John Deere’s See & Spray Premium is an advanced weed control system designed to optimize herbicide use and improve spraying efficiency.

This is one of several precision ag sprayer upgrade solutions offered by John Deere.

This targeted spraying technology is now compatible with 90-foot, 100-foot, and 120-foot booms, making it accessible to more farmers.

To learn more about See & Spray Premium, Farms.com recently met with John Deere’s precision upgrades marketing manager Kyle Barry.

See & Spray Premium features 36 cameras and 6 vision processing units (VPUs) mounted on the sprayer boom. These high-tech components allow the system to differentiate between crops and weeds in real time, ensuring that only weeds are sprayed.

This precision technology helps farmers save over 50% on non-residual herbicide costs.

By expanding compatibility beyond the previously available 120-foot boom, John Deere now enables more farmers to integrate this cutting-edge solution into their existing equipment.

This upgrade aligns with the company’s commitment to enhancing agricultural productivity while reducing chemical usage.

To utilize See & Spray Premium, farmers must have ExactApply, BoomTrac Pro 2, and a G5 CommandCenter display. These components ensure seamless operation and integration with John Deere sprayers.
