2017 Harvest Showdown Gets Underway In Yorkton, Saskatchewan

Thousands of farmers are expected to attend the annual Grain Millers Harvest Showdown in Yorkton as the show opens today.

The manager of the Yorkton Exhibition Association, JeanAnne Teliske, says a forum on farm finance and markets will be part of the activities.

She adds a commercial cattle show will also attract many rural residents.

“Anywhere from 12 to 15-thousand over the four days,” Teliske said. “And we think we’re goingto get a really good crowd out, because harvest just finished and we think people are eager to get out.”
