The Saskatchewan Government said SaskTel will be expanding a rural fibre initiative to bring better internet to an additional 70 more towns and villages.

The province said the Crown corporation is to spend an additional $100 million to expand the service to narrow the rural-urban digital divide in Saskatchewan.

All communities are expected to have the service by the end of March 2025.
