Alberta's New Fertilizer Terminal Located At Grassy Lake

Alberta farmers will benefit from the new facility.

Federated Co-operatives Limited invested $42.8 million in Grassy Lake's Fertilizer Terminal.

The new facility warehouses, blends and distributes a full suite of crop nutrition products including liquid micronutrients and nitrogen stabilizers.

Ron Healey, FCL’s Vice-President of Ag and Consumer Business says we made this investment understanding the important role the fertilizer terminal will play in serving local co-ops and helping them meet the needs of their members and customers.

The new state-of-the-art fertilizer terminal has a storage capacity of 34,400 metric tonnes and was built with a loop track that can handle up to 110 railcars.

Federated Co-operatives Limited has three Fertilizer Terminals with locations in Hanley, Saskatchewan, Brandon, Manitoba and now Grassy Lake, Alberta.
