APAS welcomes passage of CPTPP

The Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan welcomes the news that the
Comprehensive and Progressive TransPacific Partnership has received Royal Assent in Ottawa.

“The passage of CTPP opens up significant export opportunities for Saskatchewan
farmers and ranchers, and we are very pleased to see the speedy ratification of
this landmark trade agreement by decision makers,” said APAS President Todd Lewis.

“Our producers are the most trade dependent in Canada, and we are ready to take
advantage of new market opportunities in the Pacific region. This is good news for our
producers and rural communities,” Lewis concluded.
