Applications Now Open For FCC AgriSpirit Fund

Farm Credit Canada (FCC) is now accepting applications from registered charities and non-profit organizations in rural Canada for the FCC AgriSpirit Fund.
 
The fund will award $1.5 million in funding this year.
 
For the past 16 years, FCC has awarded rural community groups between $5,000 and $25,000 in FCC AgriSpirit funding for various community improvement initiatives. Since inception of the FCC AgriSpirit Fund in 2004, FCC has supported 1,263 capital projects in rural Canada totaling $15 million in donations.
 
Rural community groups can view the eligibility requirements, past projects and apply online by visiting www.fccagrispiritfund.ca.
 
The application deadline is March 31, 2020.
 
FCC will announce the selected projects in August.

Today I’m checking behind the planter looking at planting depth, seed-to-soil contact, and making sure we’re placing seed into moisture, even in a dry spring.

Everything can look good from the cab, but this is where you find out what’s really happening.

We also ran into a prescription issue that slowed us down, which is a good reminder that even when conditions are ideal, the little things still matter.
