Brandon Set To Host 31st Manitoba Farm Women's Conference

The 31st Manitoba Farm Women's Conference is right around the corner.

The event is being held November 19 - 21 at the Victoria Inn in Brandon.

Chair Donna Lee Brown talked about how the role of women in farming is changing.

"Now we're seeing a slight change with the younger farmers, they are partners in the farming but they are also working off of the farm. We have professional women that are married to farmers...So these professional women work off the farm but also have a duel role of being a partner on the farm as well. That's a pretty exciting thing."

Donna said the event will cover a wide range of topics from education to food prep and health, as well as covering business topics.

The theme for this year's event is "Advancing Women For The Next 150 Years".
