CORTEVA NAMES CHUCK MAGRO AS NEXT CEO

Corteva Agriscience has named Canadian Chuck Magro to be the next CEO. Most recently, he was CEO of Nutrien Ltd from 2018 to April 2021. Prior to that engagement, he was CEO of Agrium for four years.

He held several roles at Agrium including chief operating officer, chief risk officer and vice-president of manufacturing. Prior to his time at Agrium, he was an executive at Nova Chemicals. He earned a  Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo and MBA from the University of Windsor. 

Corteva Agriscience, a publicly traded chemical and seed company, is regarded as a pure-play agricultural company. Headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, it was spun out of DowDuPont.
