Deere Announces More Layoffs in Illinois & Iowa

Deere alerted employees on Oct. 16 of layoffs that would impact about 287 employees at the Harvester Works in East Moline, 80 at Davenport Works and 7 in Moline Seeding, reports KWQC.

To date, Deere has laid off more than 900 workers in the Quad Cities this year. According to Deere, the jobs that are being cut will not be moving overseas.

In July, Deere laid off salaried positions, with online sources estimating 4,500-6,000 employees were affected. Other layoffs so far this year include:
