Development of food processing industry: Ottawa and Quebec offer financial assistance to Canisource

The Parliamentary Secretary of Agriculture and Agri-Food, Jean-Claude Poissant, and the Deputy Premier, Minister Responsible for Small and Medium Enterprises, Regulatory Streamlining and Regional Economic Development, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women; and Minister Responsible for the Lanaudière Region, Lise Thériault, on behalf of the Quebec Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Laurent Lessard, have announced that Canisource of Terrebonne will be receiving up to $116,244 in funding.

This financial assistance will enable the firm, which specializes in manufacturing cat and dog food, to become more competitive and accelerate its development. This support is offered through the Levier and Innov’Action agroalimentaire programs implemented by the Quebec Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) under the Canada-Quebec Growing Forward 2 agreement.
