Growing with the Business...What the Next Generation Learned from Rapid Growth

Johnson Tractor (Dealership of the Year Alumni Group) is on double duty at this year’s Summit, but this time the 3rd generation takes the stage to share what really happened as it entered a time of rapid growth. After holding steady at 4 stores for years, Johnson Tractor more than doubled its number of stores and added 5 locations between 2020 and 2021.

Cousins Patrick Johnson, inventory manager, and Kathryn Hesebeck, sales manager, both worked elsewhere before joining the family business. After interning with Case IH, Hesebeck spent 2 years in the OEM’s rotational development program, returning to the dealership in 2016. She leverages her 3rd-generation ag background and focuses on sales and client relationships. Johnson worked at Bunge and spent a year in its global rotational program before spending 3 years in Russia. He returned to the Johnson Tractor in 2020 and focuses on the group’s asset management.
