Health Canada Banning Strychnine To Kill Gophers

Health Canada is banning the use of strychnine to kill gophers.

Some provinces and agriculture groups opposed the ban, noting strychnine is the only effective means for controlling gophers.

Health Canada says it reviewed comments from agriculture groups, governments, environmental groups and the general public.
