Manitoba Canola Growers congratulate new board leadership for 2024

Following the close of Manitoba Canola Grower Association’s (MCGA) nomination period at 4:30 pm CST on November 30, MCGA is thrilled to welcome one returning Director and three new Directors who were acclaimed to the board for four-year terms beginning after the Annual General Meeting on February 15, 2024:
1.      Nicolea Dow in Portage la Prairie, returning for a second term
2.      Jason Kehler in Carman
3.      Evan Gillis in Morden
4.      Darren Nykoliation in Carman
 
Congratulations to all four Directors, we look forward to working with you!
 
MCGA also held a re-organization meeting at its November board meeting, where Vice-President Pam Bailey was acclaimed as the incoming Board President until the formal re-organization meeting following the 2024 AGM. Jackie Dudgeon was acclaimed as the incoming Vice-President formerly Treasurer; Warren Ellis joined the Executive as Treasurer; and Nicolea Dow will continue to serve on the Executive as Secretary. Outgoing President Chuck Fossay continues his role as a director with MCGA, representing canola farmers at the Canola Council of Canada board table while also splitting his time as an elected Director on the Keystone Agricultural Producers Board representing District 6.
 
Congratulations also to Pam Bailey, Jackie Dudgeon and Warren Ellis on their new leadership roles with MCGA. The board and staff look forward to supporting and mentoring the new members of the Executive team as they take this next step in responsibility and leadership of the organization.
 
MCGA also offers its sincere thanks and gratitude to Chuck Fossay for many years of leadership, insight, time and expertise that he generously offered to the board and staff. Chuck’s broad experience and approach to leadership has been instrumental in bringing MCGA and its team forward to the active, innovative and influential organization it is today.

MCGA will further acknowledge our gratitude for retiring directors Clayton Harder, Jack Froese and Bill Nicholson and introduce our new Directors formally at our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, February 15, 2024.
