Manitoba Threshermen's Reunion a Success!

The 65th edition of the Manitoba Threshermen's Reunion took place this weekend.

The annual event ran from Thursday to Sunday at the Manitoba Agricultural Museum and featured plenty of tractors, horses, agricultural demonstrations and more.

Angie Klym, President of the Manitoba Agricultural Museum says that the weekend has been fantastic.

"Our visitors have been able to take in a variety of fun and excitement here on the grounds from our core programming services to some of the special events that are going on," says Klym. "There's been a lot of things for individuals, couples, and families to do."

Klym notes that the attendance of the Reunion was up from last year. She attributes advertising and social media as one of the main reasons for the increase.

"We've tried to do a few different things this year to reach out to different demographics and different groups to promote the staycation (and to) come out with us for a day," Says Klym. "I think some of those different efforts this year have hopefully equated into some of that admission being higher."

The Manitoba Threshermen's Reunion is made possible by over 600 volunteers. Klym wants to thank the volunteers for all of the tireless skills, talent, and passion that they put into making the event great.

"They truly are the backbone of this festival. Without them, we wouldn't be able to put on such a great weekend for all of our visitors."
