MFGA holds Regenerative Agriculture Conference

There's still time to register for the Manitoba Forage and Grassland Association's 2023 Regenerative Agriculture Conference.

The event runs November 13th to 15th in Brandon and features international and national speakers, local producer panels, and a tradeshow. 

This year's theme is "Building Your Legacy" and includes a variety of topics.

The conference covers everything from shifting our minds to shape tomorrow,  to connecting soil health and human health, 
pollinators and prairie landscapes, beef and bees, organic dairy operations, as well as the power and potential of regenerative agriculture.

The early bird registration deadline has been extended to Friday, October 6th.

White rot, also known as sclerotinia, is a common agricultural fungal disease caused by various virulent species of Sclerotinia. It initially affects the root system (mycelium) before spreading to the aerial parts through the dissemination of spores.

Sclerotinia is undoubtedly a disease of major economic importance, and very damaging in the event of a heavy attack.

All these attacks come from the primary inoculum stored in the soil: sclerotia. These forms of resistance can survive in the soil for over 10 years, maintaining constant contamination of susceptible host crops, causing symptoms on the crop and replenishing the soil inoculum with new sclerotia.
