Nebraska Harvest Progressing with Corn at 60%, Soybean, 94%

Nebraska's corn harvest was 60% complete, near last year's 62%, but behind the five-year average of 69%, according to the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service report for the week ending November 3. Corn condition rated 2% very poor, 6% poor, 19% fair, 56% good, and 17% excellent.
 
Soybeans harvested was 94%, ahead of 88% last year, and equal to average.
 
Winter wheat condition rated 1% very poor, 5% poor, 22% fair, 53% good, and 19% excellent. Ninety-seven percent of the winter wheat had emerged, ahead of 92% last year, and near the five-year average of 95%.
 
Sorghum condition rated 2% very poor, 3% poor, 21% fair, 65% good, and 9% excellent. Sorghum harvested was 54%, behind 71% last year and the average of 73%.
 
Dry edible beans harvested was 96%.
 
Pasture and range conditions rated 1% very poor, 4% poor, 16% fair, 60% good, and 19% excellent.
