New Requirement When Purchasing Livestock Medicines

A new requirement of providing a Premises Identification (PID) Number when purchasing medicines and medicated items for livestock from authorized medicine sales retailers is a new change in the Authorized Medicine Sales Regulation. Grady Owen, senior investigation specialist with the inspection and investigation branch with Alberta Agriculture, explains what the change means for livestock producers in Alberta.
