Open Farm Day Cancelled

Manitoba Association of Agricultural Societies (MAAS) Open Farm Day 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

MAAS released the following statement:

Thank you to all those who have been involved in Open Farm Day over the past years. The Manitoba Association of Agricultural Societies (MAAS) has been privileged to deliver this worthwhile program, on behalf of Manitoba Agriculture and Resource Development, through the hard work and dedication of our contractor, Wendy Bulloch with Building Up.

It is with great sadness that we announce Open Farm Day scheduled for September 20, 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19. Our first priority has always been the safety and health of the people involved; including host sites, invited guests, and the public. Through conversation with Manitoba Agriculture and Resource Development the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Open Farm Day was reached, in order to continue to put the safety and health of all participating as our first priority.

Thank you to all our Open Farm Day’s dedicated host sites who have shared their stories with all the visitors who have come to learn about the agriculture industry in Manitoba. MAAS will continue to work with Manitoba Agriculture and Resource Development to consider options for 2021.

Thank you again to all for your interest and support of Open Farm Day.
