Preparing for changes to antimicrobial usage in livestock

As mentioned in an earlier program, effective December 1, some antimicrobials for livestock will require a prescription from a veterinarian. Dr. Keith Lehman, chief provincial veterinarian with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry, explains how producers can prepare for the change and some important distinctions between injectable and in-feed use.
