Pulse Crop Walks

Alberta Agriculture and Forestry (AF) will be hosting a series of pulse crop walks at various sites in June.
 
“These tours are open to anyone who wants to learn more about pulses,” says Christy Hoy, pulse crops technologist, AF, Edmonton. “They include new pre-registered material, the field pea and faba bean regional variety trials, a soybean regional trial at Barrhead and Vegreville and a discussion on faba beans, as faba bean acreage has increased again this year.”
 
Tours dates and locations are as follows:
 
  • Tuesday, June 23, near Barrhead (1:00-3:00 p.m.)
     
  • Wednesday, June 24, near Bon Accord (9:00-11:00 a.m.)
     
  • Thursday, June 25, near Vegreville (9:00-11:00 a.m.)
