Second Brood Adults, Resuming Parasitoid Releases

We are now monitoring Virginia creeper leafhopper (VCLH) and Western grape leafhopper (WGLH) higher up in the vine canopy.
 
Some first brood nymphs are still present at the monitoring sites, but we are generally starting to see more second brood adults and, to a lesser extent, egg deposition (Figs. 1-2).
 
With egg deposition resuming, we will begin to release parasitoids (Anagrus daanei) again. The first new batch of A. daanei was released on July 7 at a vineyard near Ukiah/Talmage (see pictures below the graphs).
