A new contest has been announced for canola growers in Western Canada.

SeedMaster announced on Nov. 9 the ‘160 Acres of Gold Giveaway’ which will see one grower win everything they essential need to grow a quarter section of canola.

This includes InVigor® hybrid canola seed from BASF, ESN Environmentally Smart Nitrogen fertilizer from Nutrien, and crop protection products with custom application. The winner will also have the ability to use a crop intelligence weather station and SeedMaster’s Ultra SR drill for the 2023 crop year.

The company says they created the contest as a way to recognize the significance of canola, while also highlighting the tools farmers can use to help meet the demand.
