Southeast Saskatchewan Man Ordered To Pay Fine

The ruling is in on an Animal Welfare Case in Southeast Saskatchewan.
 
The case stems back to February 2019 when Animal Protection Services of Saskatchewan seized 131 distressed cattle and found 16 dead animals on a farm north of Lampman.
 
Chad Mokelky plead guilty to a charge of causing animals to be in distress.
 
Mokelky was fined $7,200 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of $2,800, he is also prohibited from owning or caring for cattle for five years.
