Tweet Your Crop Questions to ABCropChat

Do you have questions about the upcoming growing season? Alberta Agriculture and Forestry (AF) is hosting ABCropChat on Twitter, Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 2 p.m. For the hour, producers can tweet their questions to the @AlbertaAg Twitter account. AF crop specialists from across the province will provide the answers in real-time. Producers can also follow the conversation by using #ABCropChat.

“ABCropChat is another means to reach our audience and provide a more interactive conversation. It is a way for producers to ask their questions in real-time and get answers on the spot,” say Krista Zuzak, plant pathologist with AF. “Especially during the growing season, this can be important. ABCropChat is also a chance for many people to get answers to the same question.”

Organizers will use the April 24 event to gage how often these Q & A’s will happen and what topics could be covered. “There might be something more seasonal to coincide with crops out there or a certain issue for a certain ABCropChat. It could focus on agronomy or anything people want to know more about,” adds Zuzak.
