USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales of 391,900 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were down 12 percent from the previous week, but up 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Panama (81,800 MT), Taiwan (73,400 MT), the Dominican Republic (71,200 MT), Indonesia (62,800 MT), Yemen (47,400 MT, including 45,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Peru (33,000 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (86,300 MT), Vietnam (30,000 MT), and Nigeria (4,600 MT).  Net sales of 142,900 MT for 2015/2016 were for the Philippines (50,000 MT), unknown destinations (49,900 MT), Vietnam (30,000 MT), Peru (8,000 MT), and the French West Indies (5,000 MT).  Exports of 488,900 MT were up 14 percent from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Indonesia (58,000 MT), Nigeria (52,000 MT), Yemen (47,400 MT), Mexico (43,300 MT), and Taiwan (35,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 3,000 MT to Italy were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 38,100 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 502,300 MT for 2014/2015 were up 20 percent from the previous week, but down 31 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported for Japan (243,100 MT, including 90,200 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 27,500 MT), Colombia (108,300 MT), Mexico (69,100 MT), Taiwan (60,400 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 200 MT), Peru (57,900 MT), and Morocco (44,800 MT, including 45,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 200 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (132,700 MT) and Egypt (4,800 MT).  Net sales of 64,800 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations (38,200 MT), Mexico (13,500 MT), Colombia (6,000 MT), Guatemala (5,900 MT), and Honduras (1,200 MT).  Exports of 692,700 MT were down 41 percent from the previous week and 33 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (163,400 MT), South Korea (133,000 MT), Mexico (92,800 MT), Taiwan (72,200 MT), Colombia (61,000 MT), Egypt (55,200 MT), and Morocco (44,800 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 68,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley: Net sales reductions of 3,100 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Japan.  Net sales of 3,100 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Japan.  Exports of 300 MT were reported to Taiwan (200 MT) and Canada (100 MT).

Sorghum: Net sales of 181,800 MT resulted as increases for China (297,700 MT, including 116,000 MT switched from unknown destinations) and Japan (8,200 MT, including 8,100 MT switched from unknown destinations), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (124,100 MT).  Net sales of 166,300 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for China (107,300 MT) and unknown destinations (59,000 MT).  Exports of 289,200 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and 34 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destinations were China (281,000 MT) and Japan (8,200 MT).

Rice:  Net sales of 76,500 MT for 2014/2015 were down 7 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (36,200 MT), South Korea (22,000 MT), Saudi Arabia (9,000 MT), unknown destinations (2,100 MT), and Colombia (2,000 MT).  Exports of 41,800 MT were down 21 percent from the previous week and 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (17,000 MT), Japan (13,100 MT), Saudi Arabia (3,600 MT), Canada (2,400 MT), and Jordan (2,300 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 100 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales of 342,000 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 13 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Bangladesh (107,500 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from China), Mexico (102,200 MT), unknown destinations (93,500 MT), Indonesia (32,100 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 4,600 MT), and Japan (31,100 MT).  Decreases were reported for China (37,300 MT) and Canada (3,400 MT).  Net sales of 5,000 MT for 2015/2016 were for Japan.  Exports of 639,200 MT were up 7 percent from the previous week, but down 33 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (272,400 MT), Bangladesh (107,500 MT), Egypt (67,700 MT), Indonesia (45,300 MT), Taiwan (42,400 MT), and Japan (31,300 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 656,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Export Adjustments:  Accumulated exports to Bangladesh were adjusted down 52,500 MT for week ending March 5th.  These shipments were inadvertently reported last week by the wrong exporters.  They are reported this week by the correct exporters. 

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 204,000 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and 51 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (46,300 MT), Canada (42,100 MT), Colombia (31,300 MT, including 4,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Morocco (19,800 MT, including 20,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 700 MT), Peru (19,100 MT, including 2,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 5,000 MT), and Nigeria (13,200 MT, switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for Guatemala (4,300 MT) and unknown destinations (3,900 MT).  Net sales of 13,600 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations (10,600 MT) and Guatemala (3,000 MT).  Exports of 220,100 MT were down 21 percent from the previous week and 23 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Philippines (45,200 MT), Colombia (31,500 MT), Mexico (26,900 MT), Cuba (24,200 MT), Morocco (19,800 MT), Canada (19,100 MT), and Nigeria (13,200 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 8,100 MT for 2014/2015 were up 77 percent from the previous week, but down 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for the Dominican Republic (3,200 MT), Costa Rica (2,000 MT, including 500 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (1,500 MT), Canada (900 MT), and Trinidad (800 MT).  Exports of 17,400 MT were down 13 percent from the previous week and 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Peru (5,000 MT), Mexico (4,700 MT), Colombia (4,000 MT), Costa Rica (2,000 MT), and Canada (1,500 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 238,600 RB for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (85,600 RB), South Korea (30,900 RB), Turkey (20,100 RB), Taiwan (16,400 RB), Vietnam (16,400 RB), and Costa Rica (15,200 RB).  Decreases were reported for El Salvador (400 RB).  Net sales of 50,200 RB for 2015/2016 were  reported primarily for South Korea (18,400 RB), Costa Rica (11,400 RB), Taiwan (10,100 RB), and Indonesia (8,400 RB).  Exports of 296,000 RB were down 4 percent from the previous week, but up 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (86,200 RB), Vietnam (39,700 RB), Turkey (35,800 RB), South Korea (31,300 RB), and Indonesia (24,500 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 1,100 RB for 2014/2015 were down 92 percent from the previous week and 88 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for Turkey (400 RB), India (300 RB), Indonesia (300 RB, including 100 RB switched from Japan), and Switzerland (200 RB), were partially offset by decreases for Japan (100 RB).  Exports of 15,300 RB were up 24 percent from the previous week and 79 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (10,100 RB), Peru (1,600 RB), Germany (1,200 RB), and Pakistan (800 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB).

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account to China totaling 1,600 RB were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 47,400 RB, and is for China (45,600 RB) and Turkey (1,800 RB).

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 346,500 pieces reported for 2015 were down 21 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 340,000 pieces were primarily for China (195,000 pieces), South Korea (117,200 pieces), Taiwan (16,300 pieces), and Mexico (8,200 pieces).  Decreases were reported for Japan (200 pieces).  Exports of 459,200 pieces were up 18 percent from the previous week and 42 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports totaling 456,500 pieces--a marketing-year high--were primarily to China (318,100 pieces), South Korea (89,000 pieces), Thailand (12,700 pieces), Taiwan (12,400 pieces), and Mexico (11,500 pieces).

Net sales of 68,100 wet blues for 2015 were reported for Vietnam (31,000 grain splits and 100 unsplit), China (12,700 unsplit and 5,700 grain splits), the Dominican Republic (9,600 unsplit), and Italy (7,900 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for India (400 grain splits) and South Korea (300 unsplit).  Exports of 132,600 wet blues were primarily to Vietnam (19,100 grain splits and 18,800 unsplit), China (25,000 unsplit and 5,700 grain splits), Italy (25,000 unsplit and 1,800 grain splits), and Mexico (8,800 grain splits and 2,100 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 658,200 pounds for 2015 were reported for Italy (205,000 pounds), Hong Kong (150,000 pounds), South Korea (128,900 pounds), Taiwan (79,700 pounds), China (62,100 pounds), and Vietnam (32,500 pounds).  Exports of 564,200 pounds were reported to Italy (205,000 pounds), Vietnam (185,600 pounds), South Korea (87,500 pounds), and China (86,000 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 11,600 MT for 2015 were down 33 percent from the previous week and 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (5,900 MT), Hong Kong (1,900 MT), South Korea (1,400 MT), Mexico (1,100 MT), and Taiwan (500 MT).  Exports of 12,200 MT were down 4 percent from the previous week, but up 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (4,000 MT), South Korea (2,300 MT), Hong Kong (1,900 MT), Mexico (1,400 MT), and Canada (900 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 21,100 MT for 2015 were up 13 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (8,600 MT), South Korea (3,100 MT), Japan (2,800 MT), Canada (1,900 MT), and Australia (1,200 MT).  Exports of 19,800 MT were down 4 percent from the previous week, but up 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (6,400 MT), South Korea (3,900 MT), Japan (3,800 MT), China (1,400 MT), and Canada (1,100 MT).
