USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales of 319,900 metric tons for delivery in 2014/2015 were up 97 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (57,500 MT), Nigeria (46,600 MT), Malaysia (38,500 MT, including 35,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Guatemala (37,100 MT), El Salvador (32,200 MT), and Cyprus (22,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for the Dominican Republic (2,800 MT) and Colombia (1,100 MT).  Net sales of 36,800 MT for 2015/2016 were for Honduras (26,500 MT), China (4,500 MT), Guatemala (2,400 MT), unknown destinations (2,400 MT), and Peru (1,000 MT).  Exports of 375,700 MT were up 11 percent from the previous week, but down 14 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (79,700 MT), Thailand (63,800 MT), Egypt (57,800 MT), Nigeria (46,500 MT), Malaysia (38,600 MT), and Italy (29,600 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account to Italy totaling 2,300 MT were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 31,600 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 639,600 MT for delivery in 2014/2015 were up 57 percent from the previous week and 45 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Taiwan (209,000 MT), Mexico (200,300 MT), Japan (197,100 MT, including 155,700 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 19,800 MT), South Korea (131,400 MT, including 64,700 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,200 MT), Colombia (54,400 MT, including 51,400 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 8,200 MT), and Cuba (25,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (184,500 MT) and Barbados (58,800 MT).  Net sales of 62,900 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations (36,200 MT), Guatemala (17,500 MT), and Japan (9,100 MT).  Exports of 1,171,100 MT were up 71 percent from the previous week and 30 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (289,600 MT), Japan (265,400 MT), South Korea (243,300 MT), Taiwan (137,000 MT), Iran (72,600 MT), Colombia (71,600 MT), and Costa Rica (44,100 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 68,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley: Net sales of 100 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Taiwan.    Exports of 300 MT were reported to South Korea (100 MT) and Taiwan (100 MT).

Sorghum: Net sales of 47,000 MT for 2014/2015 resulted as increases for China (105,200 MT, including 58,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 10,400 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (58,000 MT) and Canada (300 MT).  Net sales of 217,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations (109,000 MT) and China (108,000 MT).  Exports of 182,800 MT were up 6 percent from the previous week, but down 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was China.  

Rice:  Net sales of 61,100 MT for 2014/2015 were up 31 percent from the previous week, but down 22 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (35,700 MT), unknown destinations (9,300 MT), Haiti (7,100 MT), Saudi Arabia (2,500 MT), and Guatemala (2,400 MT).  Exports of 60,400 MT were down 3 percent from the previous week, but up 1 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Colombia (24,500 MT), Japan (12,100 MT), Mexico (8,800 MT), Honduras (7,500 MT), and Jordan (2,100 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 100 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales reductions of 176,700 MT for 2014/2015  resulted as increases for the Netherlands (96,000 MT, including 95,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (59,000 MT), Japan (49,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,500 MT), Indonesia (33,700 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,300 MT), and Malaysia (15,000 MT), were more than offset by decreases for unknown destinations (242,300 MT), China (229,400 MT, including 355,000 MT switched to 2015/2016), and Israel (1,900 MT).  Net sales of 502,400 MT for 2015/2016 were for China (415,000 MT), unknown destinations (62,900 MT), Mexico (20,000 MT), Guatemala (3,100 MT), and Japan (1,400 MT).  Exports of 624,500 MT were down 6 percent from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (248,200 MT), the Netherlands (96,000 MT), Indonesia (70,800 MT), Mexico (64,400 MT), Japan (54,300 MT), and Colombia (20,700 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, optional origin sales to China (55,000 MT) were exercised to export from other than the United States.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 656,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 46,000 MT for 2014/2015 were down 79 percent from the previous week and 75 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for the Philippines (63,600 MT, including 62,300 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,300 MT), Cuba (44,000 MT), Mexico (19,800 MT), the Dominican Republic (15,100 MT), Colombia (8,700 MT), and Canada (6,900 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (84,600 MT), Poland (30,000 MT), and Barbados (24,200 MT).  Net sales of 31,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations (14,700 MT), the Dominican Republic (10,200 MT), and Guatemala (6,200 MT).  Exports of 293,100 MT were up 1 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were the Philippines (68,700 MT), Thailand (64,600 MT), Italy (55,000 MT), Mexico (45,700 MT), Colombia (17,300 MT), Canada (14,200 MT), and the Dominican Republic (12,200 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 11,900 MT for 2014/2015 were down 42 percent from the previous week and 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (8,200 MT), Jamaica (3,500 MT), and Canada (100 MT).  Exports of 33,900 MT were up 87 percent from the previous week and 81 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Peru (20,500 MT), South Korea (8,500 MT), Mexico (4,600 MT), and Canada (100 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 45,700 RB for 2014/2015 were down 25 percent from the previous week and 64 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Turkey (9,000 RB), China (7,500 RB, including 6,400 RB switched from Vietnam and decreases of 3,000 RB), Pakistan (6,500 RB), Indonesia (5,400 RB, including 1,400 RB switched from Vietnam and decreases of 100 RB), South Korea (5,100 RB, including 2,600 RB switched from China), and Thailand (4,400 RB).  Decreases were reported for Egypt (6,700 RB) and Mexico (5,800 RB).  Net sales of 16,500 RB for 2015/2016 were reported for Mexico (8,900 RB), India (4,400 RB), Turkey (2,200 RB), and Thailand (1,000 RB).  Exports of 433,800 RB--a marketing-year high--were up 33 percent from the previous week and 42 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (132,900 RB), Vietnam (76,200 RB), Turkey (75,300 RB), Indonesia (35,100 RB), and South Korea (26,000 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 17,900 RB for 2014/2015--a marketing-year high--were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (13,200 RB), India (1,900 RB), Bangladesh (1,100 RB), and Thailand (800 RB).  Exports of 18,300 RB--a marketing-year high--were up noticeably from the previous week and 54 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (13,800 RB), Egypt (3,000 RB), India (600 RB), and Peru (300 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  New exports for own account totaling 1,900 RB were reported to Turkey (1,700 RB) and China (200 RB).  The current exports for own account balance is 45,100 RB, and is for China (41,600 RB) and Turkey (3,500 RB).

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 401,500 pieces for 2015 were up 13 percent from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 400,200 pieces were primarily for China (341,800 pieces), South Korea (32,700 pieces), Mexico (13,800 pieces), and Taiwan (7,700 pieces).  Decreases were reported for Thailand (400 pieces).  Exports of 360,900 pieces were up 2 percent from the previous week, but down 16 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 358,100 pieces were primarily to China (245,600 pieces), South Korea (86,500 pieces), Taiwan (9,400 pieces), and Thailand (6,900 pieces).

Net sales of 67,600 wet blues for 2015 were down 59 percent from the previous week and 58 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (15,100 grain splits and 9,400 unsplit), Mexico (20,200 grain splits), Italy (16,700 unsplit), and Thailand (7,600 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for the Dominican Republic (9,100 grain splits) and Japan (300 unsplit).  Exports of 104,700 wet blues were primarily to China (36,300 unsplit and 10,000 grain splits), Italy (9,200 unsplit and 4,800 grain splits), Taiwan (10,800 unsplit), and Mexico (8,200 grain splits).   Net sales of splits totaling 5,684,800 pounds for 2015--a marketing-year high--were for South Korea (5,457,900 pounds), China (211,400 pounds), Italy (13,000 pounds), and Taiwan (2,600 pounds).  Exports of 1,173,100 pounds were reported to South Korea (1,045,000 pounds) and China (128,100 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 11,500 MT for 2015 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (4,500 MT), South Korea (3,700 MT), Canada (1,100 MT), Mexico (900 MT), and Taiwan (300 MT).  Exports of 11,900 MT were up 2 percent from the previous week, but down 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (4,500 MT), South Korea (2,300 MT), Hong Kong (1,900 MT), Mexico (900 MT), and Canada (700 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 17,900 MT for 2015 were down 37 percent from the previous week and 18 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (5,500 MT)China (3,600 MT), Japan (1,800 MT), the Philippines (1,200 MT), and Canada (1,000 MT).  Exports of 19,100 MT were down 16 percent from the previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (4,700 MT), South Korea (3,900 MT), Japan (3,800 MT), China (1,700 MT), and Canada (1,500 MT).
