USDA Export sales Report Release

Wheat:   Net sales totaling 363,900 metric tons were reported for delivery in marketing year 2015/2016.  Increases were reported for Japan (87,400 MT), the Philippines (63,700 MT, including 26,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Nigeria (47,500 MT), Ecuador (31,600 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (30,000 MT), and Nicaragua (23,200 MT, including 20,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 200 MT).  Decreases were reported for the French West Indies (8,000 MT) and Iraq (5,000 MT). Exports of 362,300 MT were reported to the Philippines (65,700 MT), Iraq (50,000 MT), Ecuador (31,600 MT), Peru (31,300 MT), Mexico (31,200 MT), and South Korea (30,400 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2015/2016, outstanding optional origin sales total 23,000 MT, all Italy.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 22,700 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 594,300 MT for delivery in 2014/2015 were up 20 percent from the previous week and 14 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (162,500 MT, including 70,600 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 84,700 MT), Mexico (157,700 MT), Egypt (109,100 MT, including 58,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Colombia (66,100 MT), South Korea (61,500 MT, including 60,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 700 MT), and Iran (59,100 MT, switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (246,500 MT), the Dominican Republic (16,300 MT), and Honduras (1,100 MT).  Net sales of 238,900 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Mexico (137,000 MT), unknown destinations (53,800 MT), Peru (30,000 MT), Taiwan (13,000 MT), and Jamaica (4,300 MT).  Exports of 1,024,900 MT were down 9 percent from the previous week, but up 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (289,500 MT), Japan (163,000 MT), Egypt (120,100 MT), Iran (65,100 MT), China (60,100 MT), South Korea (59,700 MT), and Guatemala (56,300 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 52,500 MT, all Egypt.

Barley: There were no sales reported during the week.  Exports of 500 MT were reported to Taiwan (400 MT) and Canada (100 MT). 

Sorghum: Net sales of 29,000 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for China.  Net sales of 54,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations.  Exports of 57,300 MT were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 16 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was China.

Rice:  Net sales of 69,200 MT for 2014/2015 were down 47 percent from the previous week, but up 18 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (45,700 MT), South Korea (7,500 MT), Costa Rica (7,400 MT), Jordan (4,000 MT), and Canada (1,900 MT).  Net sales of 13,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for South Korea (9,000 MT), Canada (3,200 MT), and unknown destinations (800 MT).  Exports of 50,800 MT were down 25 percent from the previous week and 28 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (10,000 MT), Haiti (10,000 MT), Honduras (7,800 MT), Costa Rica (6,500 MT), and Mexico (5,700 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 100 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales reductions of 10,300 MT for 2014/2015 were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for Taiwan (66,500 MT, including 25,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Indonesia (61,100 MT, Including 100,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 57,800 MT), Japan (30,400 MT, including 27,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Canada (22,200 MT), Mexico (21,900 MT), and Colombia (6,200 MT), were more than offset by decreases for unknown destinations (155,700 MT), China (65,500 MT), and Thailand (2,000 MT).  Net sales of 127,500 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations (148,000 MT), Mexico (28,000 MT), Taiwan (5,000 MT), Indonesia (1,000 MT), and Canada (500 MT).  Decreases were reported for China (55,000 MT).  Exports of 287,600 MT were up 92 percent from the previous week and 18 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Indonesia (116,100 MT), Mexico (98,000 MT), Japan (34,900 MT), Taiwan (25,600 MT), Colombia (6,300 MT), and Canada (2,500 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 475,000 MT, all China.  For 2015/2016, outstanding optional origin sales total 385,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 87,100 MT for 2014/2015 were down 18 percent from the previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for the Philippines (31,000 MT), Mexico (26,900 MT), Guatemala (11,300 MT, including 10,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 200 MT), Colombia (7,300 MT), Canada (6,900 MT), and the Dominican Republic (2,800 MT).  Decreases were reported for Saudi Arabia (5,700 MT).  Net sales of 176,600 MT for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for unknown destinations (116,400 MT) and the Philippines (60,000 MT).  Exports of 162,900 MT were down 12 percent from the previous week and 17 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (61,600 MT), the Dominican Republic (16,100 MT), Canada (15,200 MT), Honduras (11,000 MT), Morocco (10,000 MT), and Guatemala (9,800 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 5,300 MT for 2014/2015 were down 44 percent from the previous week and 53 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (3,800 MT), Canada (1,100 MT), Trinidad (200 MT), and Belgium (200 MT).  Exports of 7,500 MT were down 51 percent from the previous week and 52 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (6,300 MT), Canada (1,100 MT), and Trinidad (100 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 80,500 RB for 2014/2015 were up 33 percent from the previous week and 22 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Vietnam (44,400 RB, including 1,100 RB switched from Japan), Indonesia (10,700 RB, including 1,600 RB switched from Japan and decreases of 100 RB), Turkey (9,600 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB including 300 RB switched from unknown destinations), and Venezuela (3,900 RB).  Decreases were reported for Japan (2,300 RB), El Salvador (1,800 RB), and unknown destinations (300 RB).  Net sales of 51,600 RB for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Bangladesh (16,000 RB), Turkey (13,500 RB), and Mexico (12,700 RB).  Decreases were reported for South Korea (700 RB).  Exports of 230,400 RB were up 23 percent from the previous week, but down 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Vietnam (40,400 RB), Indonesia (27,000 RB), China (22,900 RB), Turkey (19,200 RB), and Taiwan (18,900 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 7,900 RB for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and 22 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (2,900 RB), Peru (2,000 RB), Vietnam (1,800 RB), and Germany (900 RB).  Net sales of 3,200 RB for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Peru (2,000 RB) and Germany (900 RB).  Exports of 7,800 RB were down 58 percent from the previous week and 42 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (3,000 RB), India (2,500 RB), Germany (1,500 RB), and Pakistan (300 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB).

Exports for Own Account: The current exports for own account balance is 49,500 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 393,100 pieces for 2015 were down 16 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 393,300 pieces were primarily for China (216,900 pieces), South Korea (80,700 pieces), Taiwan (37,900 pieces), Mexico (33,200 pieces), Italy (10,600 pieces), and Thailand (5,400 pieces).  Decreases were reported for Pakistan (100 pieces).  Exports of 423,000 pieces were up 26 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 417,500 pieces were primarily to China (261,600 pieces), South Korea (107,500 pieces), Mexico (18,900 pieces), Taiwan (9,100 pieces), Japan (8,300 pieces), and Thailand (6,100 pieces).

Net sales of 248,000 wet blues for 2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Italy (93,600 unsplit and 49,000 grain splits), South Korea (36,000 grain splits and 1,200 unsplit), China (16,400 unsplit and 9,500 grain splits), and the Dominican Republic (24,000 unsplit).  Net sales reductions of 4,800 wet blues for 2016 were for Taiwan.  Exports of 86,300 wet blues were primarily to China (22,400 unsplit and 10,600 grain splits), Mexico (16,700 grain splits and 2,000 unsplit), Italy (13,000 unsplit and 3,400 grain splits), and Vietnam (8,000 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 225,700 pounds for 2015 were reported for South Korea (151,300 pounds), China (74,000 pounds), and Taiwan (500 pounds).  Net sales of splits totaling 2,500 pounds for 2016 were for Italy.  Exports of 6,000 pounds were reported to South Korea.

Beef:  Net sales of 6,600 MT for 2015 were down 42 percent from the previous week 45 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for South Korea (1,700 MT), Japan (1,600 MT), Canada (1,000 MT), Taiwan (800 MT), and Mexico (700 MT).  Exports of 10,900 MT were down 21 percent from the previous week and 19 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (2,900 MT), South Korea (2,800 MT), Mexico (1,500 MT), Canada (1,200 MT), and Hong Kong (1,100 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 39,000 MT for 2015--a marketing-year high-- were up 90 percent from the previous week and 91 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for South Korea (12,400 MT), Mexico (9,400 MT), Japan (6,800 MT), Australia (3,600 MT), and Canada (2,100 MT).  Exports of 38,800 MT--a marketing-year high--were up noticeably from the previous week and 90 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (13,500 MT), South Korea (6,900 MT), Japan (6,200 MT), Australia (2,700 MT), and Canada (2,300 MT).
