Winter Field And Forage Crops Workshops

Soybean Production Workshops are day-long workshops that teach soybean producers new integrated pest and cultural management practices covering the entire growing season, from planting to harvest. Register for a workshop near you by Friday, December 5 as classes are filling fast.

Soil Health Workshops help producers learn how healthy soils promote sustainable high yields. In this free workshop we will focus on the science and art of soil health - what it is, how is it measured, and finally, how can it be improved. We've never had an issue with our Brent grain cart—until now! In today’s video, we start with essential farm equipment maintenance on the bean head and trailer in preparation for the upcoming soybean harvest. I then transition to working on the grain cart and hooking it up to the John Deere 8R that will be pulling it this fall. Just before storing it away, I test the hydraulics and discover a surprising issue with the auger spout mechanism. Join us as we dive into tractor and implement preparations for harvest and tackle this unexpected challenge.
