Forage Harvester
A forage harvester is also known as a chopper, silage harvester and a forager. Although it has different names it function is the same, to forage plants to make silage. Usually they will harvest corn, grass or other plant matter that is then later stored in a silage bunker, silage bag or storage silo. Forage harvesters come in two primary models. They are either self-propelling machinery or they can be attached to a tractor. Small family farms generally use the towed version of the forage harvester. The self-propelling forage harvester is usually only found on large factory farming operations. These machines make the job of harvesting and preparing silage faster and more efficient, which save you time and money.
